Area employers are invited to participate in the Marion Campus Career and Job fair, planned for Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
“This annual career fair has been planned specifically for students and alumni of both The Ohio State University at Marion and Marion Technical College”, states Will Smith, Coordinator of Career Services at Ohio State Marion.
The event will be held in the Marion Campus Alber Student Center and employers will staff booths from 11:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m. in order to meet with students from both institutions.
“Our goal is to help college students make contact with area employers in order to learn how their education can lead to a specific career path”, states Joel Liles, Director of Career services at MTC.
In addition to sharing career information, employers from Central Ohio and neighboring regions are invited to communicate potential job openings with Marion Campus students, alumni and for the first time, the general public.
Nearly 3,800 students at both institutions are studying a variety of disciplines including nursing, marketing, accounting, engineering, human and social services, computer network administration along with potential liberal arts graduates of general business, English, history, psychology, and early and middle childhood education. In addition to the campus’s current students, the job fair is opened to alumni and the general public.
Booth space is limited; interested employers are asked to respond by January 23, 2008.
Employers can register by contacting Will Smith at Ohio State Marion 740 389-6786 or Joel Liles at MTC 740 389-4636 ext 249. There is no cost to participate.
