Ohio is getting its first Hole in the Wall camp, a concept developed by actor and Ohio native Paul Newman for helping seriously ill children. The camp will open in 2010 at Flying Horse Farms in Mount Gilead.
Newman, a Cleveland-area native and Kenyon College graduate, died last week at 83.
Flying Horse Farms spokeswoman Ruth Milligan says that last year Newman visited the 200-acre site, which includes a lake, woods and trails.
The camp will include a medical center and buildings devoted to aquatics, horseback riding, nature, arts and crafts and lodging for 120 children.
