Standardized Tests Eliminated By State Budget

07-17-2009
Two unpopular standardized test scores will be eliminated with the passage of the 2009-2010 state budget.

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting fifth grade social studies and fourth grade writing will be cut from the tests.

Cutting the two elementary tests will save the state $4.4 million.

Legislators might try to cut the seventh and 8th grade social studies tests as well.
