One month after raising prices, Columbia Gas has decided to lower the price per cubic foot of gas for December.
Gas is going down to 49 cents per CCF, down from 56 cents in November.
The downturn is even better when compared to last year when the price was $1.19.
The lower cost will mean the average gas bill will be about $92.50 compared to $170 last year.
These are the lowest winter heating prices since December of 2001 and January of 2002 saw a price of 48 cents per CCF.
