Natural gas prices keep falling. Columbia Gas will lower the price customers pay for gas again in January.
The new price will be 41 cents per cubic foot, down 9 cents from December.
Last January, the price was 94 cents.
Still, despite the drop in price, the average customer’s bill, for those not on a budget plan, is expected to rise in January, because it is typically the coldest month of the year. The average bill in December was estimated at $92.50 while the average in January is expected to be $114.61.
That is a far cry from the $199.84 costs from last January.
