Happy August from the Bucyrus Public Library!

It is hard to believe that the month of August is already here!School will 
be starting up again soon, much to the dismay of all those kids who didn't 
think summer vacation was long enough!

The month of August promises some exciting programming at the Bucyrus Public 
Library!

There will be no preschool story hours during the month of August. Story 
hour sessions will resume the week of September 10th, which is the first 
full week after Labor Day.Story hours are held Monday nights from 
7:00-7:45 p.m., Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11:00 a.m., and Thursday 
mornings from 10:30-11:15 a.m.No pre-registration is required. 
Snack-and-Play Days are held one time per month, as are craft days. 
Upcoming themes include elephants, Christopher Columbus, skeletons, peanut 
butter, bath-time, as well as many seasonal and holiday sessions.For more 
information about preschool story hours at the Bucyrus Public Library, 
please contact Children's Librarian Barb Scott at 562-7327.

August brings the Bratwurst Festival and of course, the annual Hoffman Quilt 
show at the library.The Quilt Show will run from August 15 through 
September 1st.Come and see Traveling Exhibit A of the Hoffman Challenge 
Quilt Show during library hours.This year's material is Les Jadins 5625 
Cream.As a added bonus this year, Third Place Applique winners Phyllis 
Post and Charlene Frable will be at the library to talk about their 
award-winning quilt and quilting for the Hoffman Challenge.Their program 
will be held on August 20th at 7:00 p.m.

The Bucyrus Public Library will be closed Saturday, August 18th, with the 
exception of the Quilt Show and the Friends book sale.

The Friends of the Bucyrus Public Library will be holding their annual 
Bratwurst Book Sale on August 16th, 17th, and 18th.Hours for the sale are 
10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 16th and 17th, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on 
the 18th.There are lots of book of all kinds for sale, so come in for some 
great deals on gently read items!

On August 18th, "E-mail Bells and Whistles" will be presented in the 
library's community room. This hour-long program is for anyone wishing to 
learn more about Hotmail.Learn attachments and more!Pre-registration is 
required for this program.Call 562-7327 to register.
