Happy October from the Bucyrus Public Library!
Wow!Where did the summer go?The air is crisp the days are getting
shorter, and fall is in the air!The month of October promises some great
programming at the Bucyrus Public Library
The library's popular Senior Surf classes will resume in October. 4 week
classes will begin October 15th.These classes are for any patron who
considers him/herself to be a Senior Citizen.Participants will learn to
surf the Internet and learn how to send and receive e-mail. Preregistration
is required. Classes will be taught by systems administrator Mary Erwin and
deputy systems administrator Brenda Crider. You may register by calling
562-7327.
Angela Johnson, young adult author and poet, will be speaking at the library
about poetry and poetry writing on October 18th.Her presentation is part
of the library's Drew Cary/Ohio Library Foundation grant.She will also be
speaking at area schools that day.Seating is limited for her presentation
at the library.Free tickets can be picked up at the circulation desk. For

Winnie the Pooh turns 75 this month!To celebrate, the library will be
holding a Winnie the Pooh party on October 20th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the
library's community room.We will be playing games, doing crafts, and, of
course, having cake!Preregistration is required; to register, call

The fall/winter session of story hours at the Bucyrus Public Library
continues!Themes for October are:Christopher Columbus, dinosaurs,
friends, and skeletons.Three story hour sessions are held throughout the
week:Monday nights from 7:00-7:45 p.m., Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11:00
a.m., and Thursday mornings from 10:30-11:15 a.m. No preregistation is
required.Craft days are held one time per month, as are snack-and-play

In the wake of the tragic events of September 11, the Reading Safari program
with Mark Wade was cancelled.It will be rescheduled for a later date.
The library's latest discussion group is focusing on "Book vs. Film".
Discussion days are the last Sunday of each month from 2:00-4:00 p.m.Lisa
Kirchner and Phyllis Watts of Tiffin University lead the discussions.
Showing times for the films are held throughout the month. Check the

Delores Claiborne by Stephen King, The Client by John Grisham, Devil in a
