RE: WINNING SPORTS AT BHS
Dear Editor
In response to a editorial posted on 11/23/01 by Dale Diedrich:
Mr.Diedrich, I couldn't agree with you more concerning the problems with our
coaches, locally. There are two kinds of
discipline, when it comes to participation in competitive
sports.
The key ingredient to successful sports programs is the ability to be
UNSELFISH, and willing to do whatever it takes to build a winning
team. At Bucyrus, we will be entering into a new
conference, the N.C.C., a very respectable conference, and if we are to compete in this
conference. I don't think for one minute, that changing conferences
will make Bucyrus High School an instant competitor, but I do believe that if our coaches are ALLOWED to instill an attitude of
unselfishness, discipline and the willingness to sacrifice personal
issues, Bucyrus High School can become a viable competitor in this new
league. First and foremost this school needs a SPIRIT
REVIVAL.
Go Big Red!I STILL BELIEVE!

RE: WINNING SPORTS AT BHS
Dear Editor:
the major problem with bucyrus high sports is and has been the people who hire the
coaches. They have never learned that they are hiring a person to teach
basketball, not a buddie for the kids. if a coach wants to build a program and make the kids work and instill
discipline .a couple of people cry about him raising his voice to their
baby, and he is gone.
When bucyrus hires competent coaches and lets them do their
jobs, then bucyrus will have teams to be proud of and not until.

Dear Editor
All of America is saddened & angered by the events of Sept.11; however, we must resolve to not let our enemies unduly disrupt our lives.Let us use prudence and be on guard against any dangers, but carry on with our plans as best we can as free Americans. Don't cry "wolf", but don't be hesitant to alert authorities to any suspicious observations, without making any judgement.
Don't be what I call a "Perdue bird" (in reference to a brand of chicken which is fed marigolds to make the skin yellow).
Lines at Disneyworld are short; the biggest delays are at the airport, due to increased security for which we should be thankful. SO, be careful, but not afraid.
