Students "Go Digital" with New Bachelors Degree
August 2
With the explosive growth of the Internet, electronic commerce, and digital communication, successful businesses are looking for employees who understand current and future trends in digital communication and electronic commerce, and are prepared to offer challenging work environments and outstanding pay. Marion Technical College (MTC) and Franklin University's Community College Alliance (CCA) Program are positioned to take advantage of these opportunities with a new bachelor's degree completion option that will prepare students to be leaders in the digital age.

Since 1998, the two schools have partnered in a bachelor's degree completion program that combines on-campus local courses at MTC with online courses from Franklin University. The new degree, Digital Communication, will provide graduates with skills in web development, marketing, graphics design, and electronic commerce systems, as well as knowledge of the technology of databases, user interface design, networking and management information systems.

MTC Sets Early Registration Dates
July 30
Are you a recent high school graduate ready to embark on your first career? Or do you need to gain some new skills to try for a promotion - or even a whole new career direction? Students new to college-level responsibilities can learn a great deal through the Early Registration process at Marion Technical College (MTC).  Even though Fall Quarter classes do not begin until Wednesday, September 19, MTC admission and registration personnel are hard at work helping new (and returning) students make educated choices about their career options.

Early registration gives students the greatest chance of securing a class schedule that works well with their work and family responsibilities. Individuals can also take advantage of "one-stop" convenience by meeting with college counselors and advisors to discuss admission procedures, financial aid, class registration, and MTC's more than 30 two-year associate degree and one-year certificate programs in Business, Health, Engineering, Information and Public Service Technologies.
